hey you guys welcome back to my channel
thank you for joining today is Thursday
we're on the last day of my husband's
days off before he goes back to work but
it's all good we had a really good
weekend with him yesterday we did our
grocery shopping that we needed to get
done for the week and what else did we
do I think that was that yesterday and
then today we went and grabbed a few
more items that we had forgotten at the
store yesterday and then also Ollie had
to find a new colored shirt for his work
so we went down to the local store and
found that local store like we live in
some like country actually he went to
Macy's but he didn't find anything at
Macy's so we went down to coals because
they're having a pretty good deal so we
went ahead and did that and then came
home we dropped everything off and then
I told him I said you know I really
would like to go out for just a little
bit before the week starts and I have to
have the kids all week and he's like go
for it babies like go it's totally fine
so he's gonna stay home with the babies
for a little bit and spend some time
with them and Jeremiah Jeremiah just got
home from school and yeah so anyways
something that I was wanting to talk
about that you know I I don't think it's
talked about as much these days and I
don't really know why because it's
something that is a peer struggle on a
lot of people's levels and I was
watching the other day some of you guys
might know who she is
and some of you may have never heard of
her if you haven't heard of her and
you want or you're looking for another
channel to pick up to start watching her
name is prissy P she is a beautiful
beautiful beautiful youtuber I have been
binge-watching her channel for the last
pie like week and a half her channel is
very much surrounded around weight loss
and getting healthy and she does it in
such a fun way that it really drives you
to want to continue to watch her
achievements and things and that doesn't
go to say that she doesn't struggle like
everybody else struggles you know I
think I've seen a few times now on some
of the people's Twitter's I wish I had
that thing where you can pull it make it
a little just a hair longer anyways I've
seen on some tweets where they were
talking about is weight loss channels
becoming a new trend is talking about
losing weight but not losing weight a
new thing and you know at some points I
want to agree you know is this the new
norm is this the new thing this is the
new topic that we talk about mental
health and we talk about weight loss we
talk about eating disorders I think that
we've become more aware of these things
that are coming to light now and I think
that we're in a you know in a place in
society where it's more accepted than it
was before
meaning you know before or years ago
when you would talk about having an
anxiety or an eating disorder you were
very much frowned on
made to feel different
there wasn't as much knowledge as there
is now do I think that some people get
diagnosed like is the diagnosis
sometimes maybe given out a little bit
easier yeah I want to say a little bit
um you know for me personally I had to
go through quite a few evaluations on
different levels when I was diagnosed
with when I was diagnosed with the
things that I was diagnosed with I had
to go through a lot of different
valuations for things like my eating
disorder my mental health disorder our
mental health issues my weight issues
emotional disorder I mean honestly and
there's a disorder for everything I mean
if you pinched your finger there's a
disorder for somewhere or that you
pinched a finger I'm not joking like it
has been being the disorder has been
used a lot more lately than I think ever
before and I agree to that and I
disagree to that I agree to it because
I've heard it more lately than I've ever
ever heard of it before I disagree when
I hear that people are using it as a new
trend I don't want to believe that
people are using these unfortunate
things that happen in people's lives and
where they are truly diagnosed with
these things that they're actually
honestly using them for topics to talk
about for no good reason I know that
over the years I know that I struggled
with depression
for probably I want to say the most of
my life I want to say that I was
diabetic
dealt with depression however I wasn't
diagnosed nor was I treated for it until
just the last few years because one to
say that I had depression to anybody
that I know you would automatically be
made to feel like you're different I
didn't get to receive help and therapy
until I was an adult and could do it for
myself for many multiple years after a
lot of the trauma happened so what
happened was is when my trauma happened
I of course didn't have a way to
sorry guys
yeah
anyways the years that trauma happened
to me and I did not have a way to deal
with it I feel like it was a fire that
had always been burning and simmering
but as I became an adult I feel like
that little fire that was simmering down
below started to spark back up again and
started becoming a little bit just a
little bit bigger and I feel like when I
reached out for my therapist to help me
she was almost like the firefighter with
the with the extinguisher starting to
get that fire to come back down so that
we can control it and I feel like
because of that the fire had never been
put out that hit burned a lot of my
insights and now I have wounds that are
slowly healing but it's going to take
many years to heal all of the damage
that the fire has caused while it's been
down there burning and a good way of
looking at it is if you had a wildfire
and it caught one of the big lands on
fire and it just destroyed trees which
we've had the fire will get put out but
it also will take away that beauty that
it once had and that beauty is gonna
slowly slowly make its path back but
it's gonna take years for that to happen
but it doesn't mean we're not going to
start nurturing it and helping the trees
start growing and you know start
grooming it and making more attention to
it so that way you know it gets that
attention it needs to continue to
process
some bloom and that's kind of how I feel
in my physical aspect it's kind of the
same way of thinking I guess you would
put it so I was watching Percy pee the
other day and she was talking about uh I
was listening to her talk and she was
sharing something that I don't think a
lot of people really truly think a lot
about I think more people that are
trying to work on their health think
about this situation in the subject but
if you're not dealing with it then
you're not in that category and you're
not paying attention but she was talking
about how to eat healthy it really cost
a lot of money it's no joke
it cost more money to make a healthy
meal versus making a processed mill to
eat fresh food is obviously the most
healthiest you can do processed food is
not very good you can make it healthy
but it's still not going to be as
healthy processed food carries more
calories no matter which way around it
versus healthy fresh food of course
that's going to carry less calories less
sodium and all of that but it's
obviously you're gonna pay more for that
same with you know if you were to go out
to a fast food place you know you can go
to that fast food place and get a salad
but you're gonna pay five dollars for
that salad whereas if you were to just
order a hamburger or even two hamburgers
you're gonna still pay less than you
would pay for that salad that remotely
would be less calories than the hammer
but you would honestly be amazed at how
many calories carry in a solid versus a
normal hamburger it's crazy how that
works but it happens so I have sat down
and I took some notes because after
after I watched her live and you know
she got very emotional talking about it
and I I understand it I get it I get the
the frustration because I've I've seen
it and I've done it where you have to
choose are you gonna get that flat 100
calorie bread for you know five dollars
or are you gonna get a loaf of bread
that you get twenty sandwiches out of
the flatbread you get six sandwiches you
know the the loaf of bread you're gonna
get if you really think about it you're
gonna get it let's just say tensile or
yeah ten sound cheese but you're gonna
pay for the loaf of bread too something
versus the flatbread your pain almost
twice the amount I keep looking over to
this side because there's a ambulance
over there and I'm just trying to figure
out if everything's okay
nosey much I think anyway so I had sat
down and I made some just some little
list here so
oops okay for a fresh cooked Mill okay
if you were to go to the store and you
buy a bag of chicken breasts you're
gonna pay nine dollars and 76 cents now
I am basing this off of Walmart's prices
so I know now you could go somewhere and
get cheaper but I'm just using Walmart
as because I know that everywhere is a
Walmart so you you buy the chicken
breast for a five pound bag which no
you're not going to use a whole
five-pound bag for a mil but if you just
say if you need to make multiple mills
either way around it you're still gonna
pay nine dollars and 76 cents okay if
you wanted to make a potato next to it
four or five pound which is your smaller
bag of a good potato you're gonna pay a
dollar ninety seven for the bag doesn't
seem like it's a lot but hold on now you
want to make a solid next to it so you
gotta buy the lettuce which is a dollar
twenty eight you need to get your tomato
so four four tomatoes it's two dollars
and seven cents cucumbers to cut it up
and add it into your salad for two of
them at sixteen since each and then you
also have to have a dressing which I
just chose to ranch because that's what
I would typically go for because I'm
naughty like that you're gonna pay three
dollars and eighty eight cents to bring
it to a total of twenty dollars and 32
cents that's to make a fresh cooked milk
okay now if you wanted to do a processed
cooked mill processed healthy cooked
meal you would buy your chicken up your
bag of chicken which is a 1976 you would
buy a mixed bag of salad for a dollar 48
and then you would get your ranch for a
dog for three dollars and eighty-eight
cents making it only fifteen dollars and
twelve cents which is the cheaper of the
- even though you're trying to do it
healthy no matter which way around at
the processed bagged food is going to
always be cheaper just the way it's
running now you go to McDonald's
you get a chicken or a Southwest chicken
salad grilled solid four dollars and 79
cents you get two cheeseburgers for two
dollars and 28 cents if you're on a
budget and you're pinching pennies but
you just stop at a fast-food joint
because you're hungry hungry hungry
people say I say it wrong if you're
hungry it would be cheaper for you you
could almost get four cheeseburgers for
the price of the one little salad that
you're gonna get from McDonald's and
you're gonna fill up more on the
hamburgers then you would the salad okay
so there's kind of my point in this
whole thing that I'm talking about is
that sometimes people say well that's so
unhealthy that's so unhealthy that's so
unhealthy but look at it in the way that
in society these days not many people
have lots of money to spread out for
healthy fresh clean food versus you can
go and get a bag of steaming bowl frozen
broccoli for 68 cents whereas you go and
you get a bag of fresh broccoli and
you're gonna pay about a dollar oh five
again which is the cheaper that it all
adds up when you get to the register
you're gonna be paying either thirty
dollars or you're gonna pay for twenty
dollars because it's usually just about
ten dollars less for what you would buy
for fresh versus unless it like your
dinner is different you know but I'm
just saying like you're gonna pay less
for the processed food the unmoor
unhealthy food than you would if you
were to get something more fresh and
absolutely a lot more healthier and like
today we were out and I was getting
really hungry I didn't eat breakfast
this morning and I just really wasn't
filling it so I didn't eat breakfast but
I told all is like oh my gosh I'm really
hungry well I knew that I had stuff at
home that I could make and I knew I was
going to do this so I was like well
planning ahead in my
what can I do so that I can get
something a little goodbye come on yeah
there's a big spot that set in there all
right spider
it'll be look that little sucker
thinking he's all cute and cool no this
is not it's Abby's life and no you are
not going to chill on my windshield and
fly into my car look at him I just want
to hear your story anyways um so I was
like what can I do because I I'm hungry
I'm we're not gonna be eating right now
but I don't want to let myself go like I
that's been my issue as a lot of times I
just ignore my hunger until I'm
absolutely starving and then that's when
I find myself just you know because I'm
trying to fill that empty filling and
that's when you tend to overeat so I
went in the house and we had tortilla
we had turkey meat we had tomato we had
lettuce and so I was like oh you know
what I can do this so I made like a wrap
with tortilla and the turkey meat
lettuce tomato and I rolled it up and
then I just cut it into you know like
wills and I just stuck them in here and
I brought my little little lunch if
that's what you want to call it lunch um
I brought my lunch and I that avoided me
from having to go to a fast food place
for one eating that type of food even if
you try to do a healthy you're still
gonna be you you're still gonna you're
not gonna you're not gonna win eating
fast food and also it saves us money
because we're I'm not going out to pay
five dollars for something healthy when
I can clearly make something healthy at
home and just bring it along with me and
let me eat before I get too hungry and
then choose to like double shove
and so anyways I just I I want to reach
out to the ones that you know are truly
struggling with trying to find the
healthier version of things so that you
can continue to work on your lifestyle
and let you know not to you know not to
get frustrated not to give up and that
it is okay if you have to eat the
processed healthier food because that's
what you can afford then do that at
least you're still choosing the more
healthier route rather than just going
and gorging yourself with you know food
that either way is not going to be
healthy because it's just not gonna be
healthy at all at least you're trying
and at least it's an effort don't allow
people to make you feel like because
you're not cooking fresh organic you
know none of that's gonna matter at the
end of the day your weights gonna be the
same no matter if you eat processed or
you even fresh your your body is still
gonna react to it the same yes I get
that you know people say well you know
eating fresh is more healthy because you
will live a longer life I understand
that and I get that but you know what in
this day and age a lot of us don't have
that choice we just have to eat what we
can get and you know even if you bought
a bag of salad and took it home and you
bought some chicken strips and you put
that on the salad
well there's a chicken salad right there
that you probably could have made for
three dollars versus spending five
dollars and you're only gonna get a
small amount and actually you can make a
little bit more of a quantity because
you're going to be eating it as a mill
that way you're a little bit more fuller
and you will not feel like you have to
eat more just to continue to fill that
void of hunger so anyways thank you so
much prissy for putting that video out
because it really touched me in a sense
that it just reminded me that you know
what it's true life is just
getting so expensive that it's not an
excuse to not be able to eat healthy but
it is an excuse to say hey at least I'm
buying stuff for solid it might be a
salad in a bag but it doesn't make me
less of a person because I'm not
standing over my counter and cutting the
tomatoes fresh and the cucumber fresh
and the lettuce fresh if this is what I
can afford then this is what I can
afford and this is what we're gonna eat
and so yeah anyways I hope you guys

going back to work so I will be getting
back to my cooking and we've got some
